DICE has put out a new video for Battlefield 5 to show off all of its gameplay modes. It covers the campaign and traditional multiplayer modes, but its main focus is on the new Battle Royale mode that will be present in the game. This mode is called Firestorm, and it features 16 teams of 4-player squads duking it out to be the last team standing.
There’s also a brief overview of the campaign, which will be told through War Stories. Basically, there will be five main narrative threads that tell unique stories to fully flesh out the overall Battlefield 5 campaign. You won’t just play as a single soldier or unit, rather you’ll experience the war from vastly different perspectives to provide an overarching tale.
The informative video wraps with a brief overview of the game’s post-launch content, which is being billed as the Tides of War. These expansions will be free for players, so there is no longer a Season Pass to purchase to get post-launch content. You can check out this feature and more from Battlefield 5 above.
The game’s beta starts on September 6, with early access kicking off today for a select set of gamers. The game will release in November after a one month delay.
