This Mario Blanket is a Beautiful Sight

Crocheting is not something one might assimilate to a gamer, but this Super Mario fan took the hobby to a new level. A Norwegian computer programmer named Kjetil Nordin poured over 800 hours of work into his 7′ x 6′ recreation of the World 1 map for Super Mario Bros. 3 (which appears to be the All-Star version) that took six and a half years to complete. Nordin made sure to to use the proper colors of yarn, even taking the project apart when the yarn he used for the water appeared too purple, setting him back a week.
