Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is just one week away from being released and the anticipation surrounding the game is almost palpable.

Master craftsman Tony Swatton, a blacksmith who has forged weapons for the mega-blockbuster franchises Pirates of The Caribbean and Master and Commander, has taken his skills to the high seas yet again; this time with a focus on ACIV.

Ubisoft has provided Swatton with an official Assassin’s Creed hidden blade toy to use as a blueprint in order to forge a real life counterpart. Swatton also forged a cutlass to go along with the real life hidden blade.

The video below goes into great detail on how both weapons were forged and is a treat to watch not only for Assassin’s Creed fans, but also for anyone who appreciates amazing craftsmanship.
