Total War fans are spoilt for choice these days. The Wrath of Sparta DLC will be available for Rome 2 any day now, Total War: Attila is on the horizon, alongside two free-to-play Total War games as well.

Total War: Arena was announced back in 2013, and was going to be a free-to-play strategy game where two teams of 10 players can clash armies. The gameplay is looking similar to that of a MOBA, and players can also expect in-game purchases.

Project leader Gabor Beressy stated that:

“We have spent time since the announcement evolving both the gameplay and the supporting technology, to ensure we deliver smooth online service for multiplayer gamers.”

Those that are interested in Total War: Arena now have the ability to put that statement to the test, as you can sign up to the closed alpha here.

Total War: Arena will be available for PC. You can also check out the new screenshots below.
