We can rejoice now because Total War: WARHAMMER 2 – Rise of the Tomb Kings’ (boy that’s a mouth full huh?) has been released and is available for purchase on steam! The release of this expansion brings us an entirely fresh campaign with a raft of RAC-specific gameplay mechanics, victory objectives, and lashing of authentic lore!

As the Tomb Kings conquer their enemies you’ll have control of endless skeletal units, flanked by towering stone constructs such as the Tomb Scorpion, Necrosphinx and the colossal Hierotitan. This faction is playable in both Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaigns with their own specific victory conditions focused on collecting the Nine Books of Nagesh. The Tomb Kings have their own skills, traits, quest-chains, legendary wargear and situational challenges, with this you may take on the Tomb King campaigns as Settra the Imperishable, Khalida, Khatep and Nagash’s former lieutenant, the malignant Arkhan the Black.

Also releasing today, for free is Skaven Legendary Lord Tretch Craventail, who is also playable in both Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaign. Tretch is far more cunning and powerful than most Skaven, as he empowers his underlings to fight harder as they return from every rout. Tretch begins play in Naggaroth, and you can pick him up from the steam store as a separate download on the WARHAMMER II page listed under free content.
