Trailer Released for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Mobile AR Game

Niantic and WB Games have released a new trailer for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, which is a mobile game that will use augmented reality to make players feel like wizards themselves. The game is due out in 2019.

The trailer doesn’t offer up a look at the game itself either, it just sets the stage for it by calling for action to help protect the wizard world from being exposed. I’m assuming that this game will be similar to Pokemon Go, in that players will have to use their phones to scour the real world for items, clues, etc, which will be displayed on their phone’s screen through augmented reality. I would have preferred at look at the game itself, but with the Potter franchise behind it, it has potential.

Head on up above to check out the trailer. You can sign-up to receive updates on the game over on its official website.
