Trailer Released for the ‘Alien’ 40th Anniversary Official Fan Shorts

Alien fans are celebrating the films 40th anniversary this year, and Fox wanted to give them a way to do so like never before.

A competition was hosted in which over 500 Alien short films were submitted by fans with the hopes of being chosen by Fox to be officially featured. Six in total were chosen, and now a red band trailer has been released to show them off.

The six directors and films being featured are: Chris Reading (Alien: Containment), Benjamin Howdeshell (Alien: Harvest), Noah Miller (Alien: Alone), Aidan Breznick (Alien: Night Shift), Kelsey Taylor (Alien: Specimen), and the Spear Sisters (Alien: Ore).

Based on the teaser above, it’s safe to say that I’ll be tuning into these over the next few Fridays as they trickle out on IGN. I just checked over there and the first short still isn’t posted, but it should be up before today is through.

In the meantime, check out the excellent tease above.
