Turbo Kid Brings Post-Apocalyptic Vibes to 1997
Less than a full month into 2015, it’s safe to say that the best teaser trailer of the year has been released. The trailer, seen above, belongs to the film Turbo Kid, a post-apocalyptic film set in 1997.
Turbo Kid’s teaser trailer exudes all the trappings of an instant classic. In a mere forty seconds, viewers are treated to dystopian wastelands, BMX bikes as a primary method of transportation and some astounding head gear. Oh yeah, and a whole lot of violence.
Of course, it’s easy to draw comparisons between Turbo Kid and the Mad Max films, but even in the short length of the teaser trailer, Turbo Kid sets itself apart from other genre-entries, carrying its own innovative take on post-apocalyptic cinematography.
Turbo Kid’s awesome teaser trailer also informs viewers that the film has been included in 2015’s Sundance Official Selection. More about the film below, straight from the teaser trailer itself.
