The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt RED today announced that the upcoming role-playing game will receive two expansions.
The expansions, named ‘Hearts of Stone’ and ‘Blood and Wine’ will hearken back to the early days of PC game expansion packs, providing gamers with lengthy and meaningful content for the price of admission.
According to CDPR’s co-founder Marcin Iwinski, both of The Witcher 3’s expansions will “offer more hours of gameplay than quite a few standalone games.”
The studio has announced that ‘Hearts of Stone’ will release in October and provide gamers with 10-plus hours of content. ‘Blood and Wine’ will release in 2016’s first quarter, introducing players to a new region and clocking in at over 20 hours of gameplay.
An expansion pass for The Witcher 3’s expansions, as well as more information regarding both, can be found on The Witcher 3’s official website.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled to release on May 19, 2015 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
