I thought it was odd that no one tried to capitalize on the inevitable success of The Avengers movie by making a tie-in video game, but I guess there will be one after all, just not in the near future.  Ubisoft announced today that they will be releasing The Avengers: Battle for Earth sometime this Fall exclusively for the Xbox 360 and the Wii U.  That’s right the Wii U and not the PS3.  That’s kind of a strange move, but I’m sure many back room deals took place to secure the rights to have this game, and so far Sony hasn’t been involved.  At this time there aren’t too many details outside of the fact that it will utilize motion controls, and feature over 20 different Avengers.

I predict a sh*t show, but only time will tell.  Stay tuned for more details as they roll out.  You’ve been wondering why there isn’t a game based on the movie which will probably make a billion dollars by the end of its second week…
