Trains rumble down the tracks as neon lights drone over the city. Guards, so heavily armed that a mere glance from them feels threatening, inspect passerby with prejudice.
These are the opening moments of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s lengthy gameplay demo. This is the world that Adam Jensen lives in now.
In the extended gameplay video, viewers are introduced to the harsh realities being augmented in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Adam Jensen, like many other cybernetically-enhanced humans, have become threatened and pursued. Despite his relative power, Jensen will always be the underdog in Mankind Divided, but at least he can do something about it.
The lengthy gameplay video shows a polished looking title. Despite claims of the footage being from an alpha build, Mankind Divided already carries itself with the poise and style that the franchise has become praised for. Choice — be it to move quietly throughout the game or to charge in with reckless abandon — is paramount, and has never looked better.
Watching the entire gameplay demo makes one thing certain: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided looks to be an exciting, thought-provoking title.
