Watch the $10 Million Deleted Opening Scene From Superman Returns

For the first time ever Bryan Singer has released a never-before-seen snippet from his Superman Returns flick, which initially was going to be the opening scene.  First off, it’s amazing to think that a director could just shave off a scene that cost $10 million to produce, but hey, that’s Hollywood right?  Now you can see why this movie cost so much to make, which ultimately led to its failure at the box office.

This deleted opening scene features Superman cruising around in a Kryptonian vessel near the remains of his dead planet.  He seems to be looking for something, but all he runs into is his families Superman crest and a sh*tload of kryptonite.  Obviously his run in with the green crystal causes him some distress, so he has to set a course back to Earth.  I honestly can’t remember the opening scene that Singer did use for Superman Returns, but I think this deleted one would’ve worked quite well.  Check it out below and decide for yourself.  Should this $10 million clip have been trashed?  Let us know using the comments section below.  You’ve been given some really expensive scraps to watch…
