AC3L2

The doldrums of the winter new game releases, or lack thereof, continue this week with another paltry lineup of new titles to play. Next-gen releases are completely lacking this week with nary a single entry coming out for the PS4 and Xbox One.

The most notable release is Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD, which is a remaster of the PS Vita title for the PS3 and PC. Gamers can now take control of the first female assassin in glorious HD to flesh out more of the mysterious world that is the AC franchise.

Most of the other new releases are re-releases on a new platform. These title include: The Raven for PS3, Doodle Devil for Vita, Double Dragon (PS1) for PS3, Age of Zombies for Vita, F1 Race Stars for the Wii U eShop, and UnEpic for the Wii U.

Finally, the PC space is getting two new originals in Nidhogg and The Banner Saga, so if you like indies you may want to check them out this week.

Our Recommendation

If you haven’t played¬†Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD on the Vita yet then you should definitely check it out in HD on your PS3. Indies are always interesting, so Nidhogg and The Banner Saga could be winners in that arena.
