Many of you are probably still working your way through Batman: Arkham Origins, or Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, and some of you may even still be firmly rooted in GTA V’s playground, but this week’s new video game releases may lure you away from those titles. The two massive triple-A games coming out this week are Assassin’s Creed 4 and Battlefield 4, which will surely cause some strain on the old wallet this week. The other multi-platform new releases this week are WWE 2K14, Angry Birds Star Wars for consoles, and Sonic Lost World.

There are a few digital releases coming out this week as well. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirrors of Fate HD (XBLA, PSN), Proteus (PSN PSV), and Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires (PSN) are all releasing on their respective digital platforms. The PC only releases are also in digital form and consist of Blood of the Werewolf, Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut, and Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2.

Our Recommendation

If your funds are limited we recommend grabbing either AC 4, or Battlefield 4. Both are from established franchises, and both will pack more than enough content to justify a $60 purchase.
