Pokémon-X-and-Y

If you’ve been looking for a new game to play now that GTA V is a few weeks old, this week’s new releases may offer you some options. The three heavy hitters this week are Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, and Beyond: Two Souls. Poke-Nation will surely flock to the two new Pokemon games for the Nintendo 3DS, while fans of David Cage and his Quantic Dreams studio will undoubtedly check out their latest game since Heavy Rain.

There are a few other new releases you may want to check out, most notably the Capcom Essentials collection for the PS3 and Xbox 360. This bundle comes with 5 recently released Capcom games all for $60. The other new release is more suited for the casual party game crowd. Just Dance 2014 is the follow up to Just Dance 4, and will be releasing for the PS3, Wii, Wii U, and Xbox 360.

Our Pick

If you absolutely need just one title to pick up this week, then we recommend going with Beyond: Two Souls. If it packs the same emotional narrative as Heavy Rain it will surely go down as one of 2013’s greatest gaming experiences.
