Bravely Default

Well gamers we are slowly getting back into the swing of things in 2014, and this week marks the first in quite some time where there are more than one worthy new video game to play. Sony’s family of video game machines lead the way this week with multiple releases shipping for new and old classic titles, but Microsoft and Nintendo are represented as well.

The major new video game releases coming out this week are Fable Anniversary for the Xbox 360, Bravely Default for the Nintendo 3DS, Outlast for the PS4 and The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 for multiple platforms. If neither of those titles suffice there’s a boatload of minor releases coming out as well such as: The Sun at Night (PC), Hyper Crazy Climber (PS3), Adam’s Venture Chronicles (PS3), Dustforce (PS3/PSV), Surge Deluxe (PSV), King Oddball (PSV), Truck Racer (PS3), Trapt (PS3), Gex: Enter the Gecko (PS3), Jazzpunk (PC) and The Lego Movie Video Game (Multi).

Our Recommendation

It’s plain to see that there are more than a few new video game releases to pick up this week, so you’ll have to decide which direction you want to take – old school or new school. If you want a brand new title that isn’t really new but overhauled then Fable Anniversary is your best bet. If you want a next-gen experience why not try Outlast for free on the PS4. If you want to go mobile then Bravely Default is the game you should be playing. Finally, if you’re more into story over gameplay then The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 should be right up your alley.
