We’ve already hit March, which means that the new video game releases should slowly start getting more exciting. The doldrums of the winter release season are just about over, so to celebrate Ubisoft is releasing its much anticipated South Park: The Stick of Truth for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. This RPG is high on the list of many gamers and fans of the show, and considering that it was created by Matt and Trey, there’s no doubt that it’ll kick ass.

Outside of South Park: The Stick of Truth the lineup of new video game releases is actually quite lackluster. Two indie games are headed to the PS4 with Awesomenauts and Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition both hitting Sony’s popular console this week. The PS3 is also getting some new titles that were previously only available on different platforms. Both Growlanser: Heritage of War, and Master Reboot will be available as digital downloads in the PSN Store. To round out the new Sony platform releases Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F is coming out for the Vita as a digital download.

The Wii U is getting one new title in Block Drop U. PC gamers can pick up Tower of Guns, Diehard Dungeon, Year Walk, Gigantic Army, and Post Master.

Our Recommendation

There’s truly only one must-play title this week, and it’s South Park: The Stick of Truth. This game is the best of both worlds, meaning that it maintains the charm of the South Park TV show, while also meshing it with classic RPG gameplay. Matt and Trey worked on this title personally, so there’s no way that it won’t faithfully live up to the high standards they’ve set for the franchise.
