What Gamers Want for the Week of 8-1-16: New Video Game Releases

We are still firmly entrenched in the summer doldrum of video game releases this week, but there are definitely a few new titles worth looking into. There aren’t many big name releases outside of Telltale’s Batman series, but that doesn’t mean some of the lesser known games don’t deserve your attention. For example, ABZU is a peach and I highly look forward to playing it in full after getting some time with it at E3 this past June. The Indie title Overcooked has also been getting glowing previews, so it may be worth an investment as well. You could really break the bank this week and pick up the 2TB Xbox One S, which drops on Tuesday.

Of course there are plenty of Indie PC releases to wade through, which you can brush up on after the break.

Our Recommendation

ABZU for sure, I think it has potential to be as special as Journey. Telltale really never misses on a franchises, so I expect its take on the Batman franchise to be competent as well.
