I hope you’ve been saving your video game scratch, because this week is full of new releases that warrant a purchase.  My must-play titles releasing this week are Dishonored and XCOM: Enemy Unknown.  Both of them have already been getting their digital balls kissed by the press, and considering I loved them way back at E3, I can’t wait to see how they turned out in their finished state.  For those of you that like to live on the wild side you may want to check out two new Kinect games releasing this week in Fable: The Journey, and Harry Potter Kinect.  Finally, if you want to save some cash this week you could just download the free Retaliation DLC for Mass Effect 3, which drops tomorrow.

There’s actually a decent Blu-ray coming out this week for your home theater in Prometheus.  If anything it’s supposed to answer some questions you may have had after seeing it in theaters back in June.  I for one will be picking it up, because I honestly liked the movie, I just didn’t like how they tried to pretend that it tied into the Alien franchise.  As always you can pick up any of these recommendations by clicking on their Amazon box art images down below.  You’ve been ready to get your Corvo on…

Video games to buy for the week of 10.8.12

If you need me to wipe your ass for you in this category I’d tell you to go with Dishonored for a guaranteed good time.

Blu-rays/DVDs to buy for the week of 10.8.12

Love it, or hate it, but Prometheus is a decent sci-fi movie with some cool special effects and a loose connection to the Alien universe.
