Hopefully you’ve saved some of your hard earned cash these past few weeks, because there’s actually some new games and movies worth buying this week.  In the video game arena Far Cry 3 is leading the way as the must-play new release this week.  MOBA fans can get their Guardians of Middle-Earth on when it releases on the PSN and XBLA later this week.  Resistance fans can pick up the collection disc for the PS3 this week if they’ve got nostalgia on the brain.  PS3 owners can finally play the original Mass Effect this week with the releases of the ME Trilogy on that system.  Skyrim fans can download the new Dragonborn DLC as well this week if they’ve been missing Tamriel.  Finally, you can download Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on approved Android and iOS devices.

The home movie scene isn’t as loaded this week as the gaming scene, but it’s more about quality and not quantity.  Obviously, The Dark Knight Rises will probably be the #1 Blu-ray/DVD sold this week, so I guess it’s worth mentioning.  The Halo: Forward Unto Dawn webseries is also coming out this week, and if you haven’t seen it yet this version may be the best way to view it.  As always you can pick up any of these recommendations by clicking on their Amazon images down below.

Video games to buy for the week of 12.3.12

If you asked me what game to buy this week I’d say Far Cry 3, but there are some other worthy titles as well.

Blu-rays/DVDs to buy for the week of 12.3.12

Love it or hate it, but The Dark Knight Rises is hands down the best choice this week when it comes to building up your home movie library.
