If you’re a gamer and honestly need a recommendation of what to buy this week then you should go home and smash your console, because this week Mass Effect 3 (and day 1 DLC from ashes) will be unleashed upon us.  If you aren’t jacked about that game then I don’t know what gets you motivated to be a gamer each day.

Outside of the obvious, this week actually has a decent amount of new games coming out.  PS Vita users can add to their library by picking up Unit 13, MLB: The Show, or Lego Harry Potter.  If you’re a fighting fan you may want to check out the new Street Fighter V. Tekken, which will be releasing for both the PS3 and 360.

For the first time in awhile the Blu-ray/DVD front isn’t looking too shabby this week.  Immortals and Game of Thrones Season 1 are both being released for home consumption this week, so your Tuesday trip to the local Best Buy could be an expensive one.  Immortals isn’t the greatest of movies, but it has some well done 3D effects, and at times it gets pretty graphic, so I’ll be adding it to my home 3D collection.  GoT is a no brainer if you don’t have HBO, so hurry up and get caught up before season 2 begins on April 1.  If you’re interested in picking any of these recommendation up then just click on their images below.  You’ve been longing for the release of Mass Effect 3…

Video games to buy for the week of 3.6.12

No thinking required here folks. This week is all about Mass Effect 3, but here are a few other games you may be interested in owning.

Blu-ray/DVDs to buy for the week of 3.6.12

Immortals isn’t the greatest movie of all time, but it had solid 3D effects and plenty of bloody battles, so it has earned a spot in my home 3D movie collection.  Obviously, if you haven’t seen Game of Thrones, this week will be your first chance to get caught up before April 1.  I can’t as a man recommend any other movies, and/or TV series to check out this week, so take your pick between these two and be happy.
