This week offers a few new worthy video game and blu-ray releases that may require your attention, and for that matter, your hard earned cash.

The video game new release scene is definitely alive this week, and most of the titles sport a far east feel. Shin Megami Tensei IV leads the way in this list, and comes out for the Nintendo 3Ds on 7/16. If you’re into odd RPGs you may want to check out Time and Eternity, which is a PS3 exclusive also dropping on the 16th. Sticking with the theme, Dynasty Warriors 8 also comes out this week for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 on the same date as the previous two recommendations.

If you’d rather go for nostalgia then you may want to check out the Serious Sam collection, which is releasing on the Xbox 360 as a 4 game bundle. This collection is also due to hit retail on July 16, 2013.

The blu-ray new releases aren’t as plentiful, but there are a few worth looking into. All of the new home movie releases will be available to buy on July 16, 2013.

If you love blood and guts you should definitely check out the Evil Dead remake. If sports movies are your thing then you’ll be happy to know that 42 also comes out this week. Finally, the second season of AMC’s excellent period drama, Hell on Wheels, is also coming out this week for your home theater.

Feel free to use the Amazon links below to pre-order/buy any of these recommendations!
