Geeks, gamers, and nonconformists; this could be the crappiest week for new video game and home movie releases since we started doing this weekly post.  The video game scene is nearly devoid of any worthwhile new releases, and in fact the only ones worth checking into are digital in nature.  Mass Effect 3 is getting more free DLC via the Earth multiplayer content pack, so that should give you something to play this week without breaking the bank.  If you absolutely have to buy a new game this week then you may want to cash in on the XBLA summer release of Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD, which is a collection of the first two Hawk games.  That’s it, if you have other recommendations please let us know using the comments section below.

The home movie new releases are even worse this week with not a single worthwhile flick coming out for sale.  Three Stooges fans may want to rent the recent film about the troublesome crew, but if you base your tastes in movies on ratings, then this comedy may not be up to your standards.  As always you can buy any of these recommendations by clicking on their Amazon links below.  You’ve been needing something new to watch and play…

Video Games to buy for the week of 7.16.12

Well the Earth DLC for ME3 is free, so if you really want to spend money on your gaming habit this week you may want to head on over to the XBLA Marketplace tomorrow.  Tony Hawk purists will definitely want to grab Pro Skater HD.

Blu-ray/DVDs to buy for the week of 7.16.12

Three Stooges is probably a stretch, but there’s really nothing else coming out this week for your home movie collection.  Maybe you should just rent it.
