Well everyone this week offers a few more choices than the last two when it comes to new video game releases, but don’t expect to find any blockbusters.  PC gamers can finally get their hands on Radical’s Prototype 2 this week with it releasing for their platform of choice, and those gamers looking to get in better shape may want to check out Adidas’ micoach for the Xbox 360 and PS3’s respective motion controllers.  One of the stage demos for the Xbox 360 at E3 is also available this week via the XBLA in the form of Wreckateer, which charges you with shooting canon balls at enemy fortresses using nothing but your body movements.  Finally, on the mobile front, 3DS owners can download Planet Crashers from the Nintendo eShop on July 26th.

Unfortunately, for the third week in a row, there’s absolutely nothing that excites me in the new Blu-ray/DVD releases for this week.  I guess you’ll just have to keep on trucking through the classics, and/or your Netflix queue for now.  As always you can buy any of these recommendations using their Amazon links below.  You’ve been wanting to wreckateer something…

Video games to buy for the week of 7.23.12

Prototype 2 for PC?  A workout game?  A few downloadables?  Nothing this week is triple-A status outside of the P2 PC release, so if you’ve been looking for some quick and easy games to play, you may want to focus on the digital titles coming out this week.
