This week I think the title would be more fitting if I changed it to “What Geeks Don’t Want for the Week”, because they’re some slim pickings when it comes to new games and movies to buy.  In the video game arena the only game that may warrant parting with some cash is EA’s NCAA Football ’13 offering.  This is a multi platform title that adds the ability to place any Heisman winner on any college team’s roster.

Have you seen the Ohio State/Desmond Howard commercial for it yet?  Yeah, this new feature will definitely make for some interesting bar stool arguments indeed.  If football isn’t your thing, but working out your brain is, then you may want to check out the digital title Quantum Conundrum, which releases for the XBLA this week.

The home movie market is even worse than gaming this week.  Once again there isn’t a single title worth adding to your home movie collection.  You may want to think about renting American Reunion, but I doubt that film captures the fun that the original American Pie did oh so many senior classes ago.  As always you can pick up any of these items by clicking on their Amazon images below.  You’ve been thinking about saving some cash this week…

Video Games to buy for the week of 7.9.12

Unless you’ve been hankering for some pigskin action there aren’t many purchase worthy games coming out this week.  Stick to your old ones and do some catching up with your gamerscore, and/or trophy collection.
