Based on a recommendation from one of my lazy geek friends, I’m going to start doing a weekly post that highlights what videogames, Blu-rays, gadgets, collectibles, etc are available to buy that particular week.  This weekly post will mainly focus on what new games are out to play for the 360, PC, and PS3, but if there’s some hot Blu-rays coming out, a new gadget, or some new collectibles to waste money on, I’ll make sure to keep you in the know on those fronts as well.  Without further adieu here is what you should be spending your cash on this week.

Videogame Releases for the week of 10/3/11

Without a doubt, Rage is the must-play title coming out this week.  It’ll be available in most markets by 12AM on 10/4.  This is the videogame I’ll be blowing some bucks on this week even though I won’t play it because all I want to do is work on my suckiness in GOW3.  Outside of Rage the other titles to check out this week are: NBA 2K12, Dark Souls, and Spider-Man: Edge of Time.  On the download front, NBA JAM: On Fire Edition will be available on the PSN and XBLA this week as well.  Please click on any image below to order these games ASAP (image links to all versions of a particular game regardless of box art).

Blu-rays and DVD Releases for the week of 10/3/11

There’s nothing too exciting on this front, but Fast 5 and Scream 4 are the major home video releases for the week.  Head on down below to order these flicks if you’re interested.

All the rest for the week of 10/3/11

Without a doubt the elephant in the room in regards to this category is Apple’s 10/4 iPhone event, which could bring a firm date for the iPhone 5’s release, or the iPhone 4S.  Neither has been confirmed, but both should be discussed at the “Let’s talk iPhone” event set for 10AM PST on 10/4/11.  Apple Nation is waiting with baited breath for this event, so let’s hope they don’t disappoint.  I’ve been feeling like spending some mega bucks on a new man-toy, so if the 5 is revealed I’ll be throwing money at it faster than you can say fanboy hype.

Now that you know what’s out there this week what will you be spending your cash on?  Is there something I missed?  Let us know using the comments section below.  You’ve been needing more time than is physically possible to complete all of these Fall 2011 super-duper videogame releases…
