This week The Lego Movie and The Grand Budapest Hotel are being released for the small screen. In The Lego Movie Emmet has always wanted to fit in and show everyone how awesome he is. Little did he know that he was about to go on the adventure of a lifetime. This movie is not only for kids, but for adults as well. It definitely hits close to home for fathers and sons, but it doesn’t only apply to them. The movie is simply about believing in yourself enough to know that anything is possible, and it’s great.

The Grand Budapest Hotel is directed by Wes Anderson. He has a unique way of storytelling that includes clever writing and a distinct cinematography. The movie focuses on M. Gustave, who is the concierge at the famous hotel. He worked there for many years and has plenty of stories to share.

There isn’t anything appealing to geeks for this weekend’s theater releases. Jersey Boys and Think Like a Man Too are the major releases. Jersey Boys is based on the Broadway Musical, Jersey Boys, and the film is directed by Clint Eastwood. It doesn’t seem like the type of film that he would direct, but if you’ve wanted to know more about Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons this movie is for you. Think Like a Man Too is the sequel to Think Like a Man, so Kevin Hart and the gang are back at it again in Las Vegas.

Our Recommendation

Definitely pick up The Lego Movie. It will not only make you laugh, but it’s the perfect opportunity to bond with your son or daughter. Your kid might even think you are cool for knowing what Legos even are! If you are a fan of Wes Anderson movies you may want to also check out The Grand Budapest Hotel.

When it comes to this weekend’s theater releases, skip them. Use this weekend to catch up on films like X-Men Days of Future Past or Edge of Tomorrow.
