Wii U Releasing on November 18th According to Peripheral Maker PDP

One of Nintendo’s peripheral makers may have just screwed the pooch when it comes to the Wii U’s official release date.  According to attendees at the GameStop Manager’s Event, a rep for PDP mistakenly revealed November 18th, 2012 as the launch date for the Wii U during their presentation.  Supposedly these folks quickly tried to pretend that they just didn’t make a major f*ck up by changing the subject almost immediately after spilling Nintendo’s beans.

Nintendo is planning an event on 9/13 which is when many industry insiders expected to get the official release date for the Wii U, but I have a good feeling that the slip-up at the GS Managers Event is the real deal, so you should expect to hear 11/18/12 as the official release date at the 9/13 Nintendo event.  Just act surprised if you happen to be there.  You’ve been thinking that the only reason you’ll buy a Wii U is to just say that you own one…
