Wolfenstein: The New Order Gameplay Trailer Looks Fantastic
In most cases, telling someone that the Nazis won World War II will lead to blank stares and questioning of sanity. Gamers should get used to this reality as they prepare for the release of Wolfenstein: The New Order.
The newest entry in the series that helped popularize the FPS genre, New Order has players staring at a grim reality in which the Nazis rule the world. MachineGames’ newest trailer is dark and depressing, taking viewers through a world filled with Nazi insignia. Iconic photos such as the album cover for The Beatles’ Abbey Road and the original moon landing are doctored, Nazis taking the place of cultural icons. Chilling stuff.
It’s scary to think about this alternate universe, but MachineGames brings us back to what gamers know and love at the end of the trailer: taking out the bad guys. Get ready to slay some Nazi scum!
Taking place in 1960, Wolfenstein: The New Order depicts an alternate timeline – one in which the Nazis won World War II and took over the world… and only B.J. Blazkowicz can stand up to them. Learn more in our new E3 trailer featuring new gameplay footage.
