‘Wolverine 3’ Aiming for R-rating

Hugh Jackman is set to return to the role of Wolverine one last time in the third installment of the standalone series, and this time Fox is looking to kick it up a notch. During the 2016 Toy Fair, 20th Century Fox announced that they’ll be gunning for an R-rating for the 2017 film.

After the box-office success of their own Deadpool and the surprise hit of Kingsman: The Secret Service, Fox is looking to continue their adult-oriented superhero films. It may be unusual, considering the demographics most superhero films try to reach out too, but obviously that hasn’t hurt Fox, as demonstrated by Deadpool.

Wolverine 3 is slated to hit theaters March 2017.
