Woody Harrelson has been officially cast in the Han Solo: A Star Wars Story project, which was rumored to be happening last week. At this time Lucasfilm and Disney haven’t announced the name of his character, or how he will be involved with Han, but as speculated in the rumor last week he will more than likely be playing Han’s mentor.
The film’s Directors are glad to have him and they summed up their sentiments by saying, “We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody. His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.” That last part is definitely the most important, so here’s to hoping for another great performance by Woody, which we all know he’ll pull off.
The untitled Han Solo film is set to release sometime in 2018.
