World of Warships Getting Aircraft Carriers for Second Beta; New Screens Released

A set of new screenshots and images of new aircraft carriers have been released for World of Warships in preparation for the game’s second closed beta weekend, which is set to take place from January 23 – 25. The second beta is called “Wings Over the Water,” and thanks to the introduction of the aircraft carrier class players will now have access to four different classes of ships to choose from.

The aircraft carriers will offer unique RTS style gameplay and allow players to launch three types of fighter planes (fighters, dive bombers and torpedo bombers) against their opponents. Unfortunately, the closed beta taking place this weekend is closed, so unless you have an invite for it you will not be able to participate. If you can’t play you can at least check out a trailer for the beta above, as well as a few screenshots and art after the break.
