Over the past couple of days some heavy rumors have been tossed around about Apple developing a new hybrid timepiece appropriately called the iWatch. At this point everything about the iWatch is just speculation, but some sites such as Business Insider are proclaiming that this new Apple device could be the beginning of the end for the iPhone and other smartphone devices. Personally, I think that claim is a little far-fetched, because I don’t see a watch being able to completely replicate the functionality of a smartphone, but if any company could pull it off it would be Apple.
For now we’ll just have to wait and see if the iWatch is legit or not, but if it is I highly doubt it’ll usher in a new era of personal all-in-one digital devices. Would I buy one? Well, does a bear shit in the woods? There’s your answer. How about you? Do you think that an iWatch could replace your current smartphone, or would you just add it to your growing collection of iDevices? Let us know by using the comment section after the break. You’ve been thinking you could always use another toy from Uncle Apple…
