Xbox 360 Gamers Potentially Getting Rewarded for Achievements This Fall

A tweet from the Xbox Live Rewards account has hinted that this Fall Xbox 360 achievement whores will actually get some sort of real life rewards for their in-game accomplishments.  It seems that in some form Microsofts’s Xbox Live Rewards program will get tied to your gamerscore and potentially net you some schwag, which come in the form of MS Points.

Here’s the actual tweet for clarification:

“We’ve hit 50,000 followers, which means it’s time for an announcement! Coming Fall: a new way to earn Rewards based on your Achievements.”

I wish this program was in place from the get go, because there was a point in time where I took my cheve hunting pretty seriously.  I’m almost to the six-figure mark, so hopefully I’ll get some sort of XBL Rewards back pay once this program goes live this Fall.  We will keep our ears to the street to figure out more details, and report on them as soon as possible.  You’ve been liking this announcement…
