Xbox One to Support Cross Network Play Beyond Windows 10 PCs

Chris Charla, Director of [email protected], today revealed that MS is allowing developers to build cross network play functionality into their games to allow Xbox One and Windows 10 PC games to be played with gamers using other platforms’ networks. This means that a gamer playing Rocket League on an Xbox One could technically play against a gamer playing it on the PS4.

In fact, Rocket League is the first title to support cross network play, so as Charla points out, MS is providing an, “open invitation for other networks to participate as well.” Sony, the ball is in your court.
