We were fortunate enough to get an Xbox One X review kit prior to the console’s public launch, and for now we are only able to show it off in an unboxing format. Due to embargoes there will be no impressions of the device featured in the unboxing video, it’s just that, and unboxing of the Xbox One X.

In terms of the box and its contents they are minimal. You get a few free-trial codes and a quickstart guide, and then the next layer yields the controller, HDMI cable, and power cable. Beneath those you will find the world’s most advanced gaming console, which is presented in a matte black finish and the smallest Xbox One form factor to-date. You’ll also note that there is no large fan on the top of the One X, which is the case with the One S, so as you can guess this should help with noise levels once the console is up and running and cranking on some of the available 4K games like Gears of War 4.

Anyway, there is so much I’d like to say about my early adventures with this gaming machine, but for now I will be drawn and quartered if I do, so alas, I must wait until the powers at be give the green light. Stay tuned for more Xbox One X coverage!
