Yooka-Laylee is shaping up to be the exact game that fans of classic 3D platformers want. Between the musical score done by THE Grant Kirkhope, and cues taken directly from Banjo-Kazooie in terms of level design and gameplay, it really wants to be what Mighty No. 9 wasn’t. Thank god for that. In a sea of Kickstarters looking to make money off of your child-like wonder for the games that you played as a kid, Yooka-Laylee is the real deal.

In the trailer they show off some basic platforming mechanics in the game and one of the transformations that you’ll get to use! Check it out for yourself and let the tones of Grant Kirkhope’s music massage your earholes.
