Let’s face it, 2K Games’ Evolve is pretty much extinct. Following an impressive amount of over-hyped media fluff before its release and a shockingly bad pre-order structure, Turtle Rock’s efforts to usher in a new era of asymmetrical multiplayer left a lot of gamers with a bad taste in their mouths.
In the interest of saving face and showing that Evolve’s monsters still have some life left in them, 2K Games have announced that Evolve will be playable for free this weekend. Xbox One owners and PC gamers will have a chance to check out the myriad hunters and hulking beasts of Evolve without having to spend a dime.
2K Games, in order to not seem desperate, also announced that all of the game’s DLC will also be free during this period. Previous price gouging attempts, be damned, Evolve’s publisher wants everyone to experience the full Evolve experience.
