Zelda: Triforce Heroes announced as a 3DS exclusive – coming this year!

With The Legend of Zelda Wii U not being featured at E3 this year, but still on the way…eventually, another Zelda game was an unlikely expectation. Yet here we are, with The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes for the Nintendo 3DS.

Triforce Heroes is a 3-player game utilizing an art style very similar to the recently released A Link Between Worlds. Unlike previous multiplayer Zelda games, Triforce Heroes focuses fundamentally on cooperative play rather than competitive. It’s a full-blown Zelda adventure that includes dungeons, puzzles, and bosses that must be taken down with the help of your fellow players. But don’t worry, this game can be enjoyed in single-player as well thanks to two “doll-like” characters that join link and can be switched between in order to solve puzzles.

We’re likely to find out more information on this game very soon, as The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes is set to release in Fall 2015 for the 3DS.
